NKT A/S (NKT) confirms that its Czech subsidiary, NKT s.r.o., has received a “Statement of Objections” (Statement) from the Office for the Protection of Competition in the Czech Republic, relating to an ongoing investigation into alleged anti-competitive practices in the Czech cable market, as communicated in Company Announcement No. 22 of 28 August 2025.

In the Statement, the Office for the Protection of Competition in the Czech Republic alleges that certain practices under investigation among several cable manufacturers, constitute infringements of Czech and EU competition rules. The authorities have proposed fines for the parties involved, including NKT s.r.o., in relation to the activities under investigation in the Czech Republic. In addition to NKT, the investigation involves five other cable manufacturers.

NKT contests the findings of the authorities and the alleged infringements forming basis of the suggested fine and will submit its reasoned defence to the authorities. If the Statement is upheld in the final decision by the Czech authorities, NKT will consider all available legal remedies, including appeal to the Czech courts.

In the related case in Slovak Republic, NKT received a first-instance decision from the Antimonopoly Office in February 2026. This follows the Request Before the Issuing of a Decision announced on 28 August 2025, and reflects the progression of the ongoing administrative proceedings. NKT has appealed the first-instance decision to the Council of the Antimonopoly Office, and should the decision be upheld, NKT is prepared to appeal it to the Slovak courts.

Final decisions by the competition authorities in both countries are expected latest during 2027. Subject to the outcomes, NKT can initiate appeals before the Czech and Slovak courts. Any such proceedings may extend over several years.

NKT regards these matters with the utmost seriousness, and the company remains committed to full cooperation with authorities and to upholding responsible and ethical business standards.

This announcement does not change NKT’s financial outlook for 2026.
