OMX The Nordic Stock Exchange, Copenhagen5 March 2008Release No. 3NKT Flexibles to increase production capacity by 65%NKT Holding and 49% co-owner Acergy has jointly approved investment of around300 mDKK for upgrade of NKT Flexibles' production facilities in Kalundborg. The investment relates to additional production lines to be established withinthe Kalundborg factory's existing framework. The aim of the investment projectis to increase the factory's overall production capacity by up to 65%. The planned investment will also enable NKT Flexibles to develop andmanufacture larger dimensions of pipes for greater depths of water. Thecompany's product programme and competitiveness will therefore be strengthenedconsiderably. The upgrade of NKT Flexibles' production facilities is based on the growingdemand for offshore and deepwater developments. We therefore anticipateprolonged and rising demand for flexible offshore pipes such as those developedand manufactured by NKT Flexibles. The expansion of capacity will be realised in the period 2008-2010 and isexpected to contribute to revenue and earnings growth with effect from 2ndquarter 2010. Investment projects strengthen NKT's corporate strategy “Building Power” With the decision in November 2007 to invest in further production capacity inthe form of a completely new high voltage factory at NKT Cables in Cologne, andnow with the decision to significantly expand production capacity at NKTFlexibles in Kalundborg, the possibilities for realising the plans contained inNKT's corporate strategy “Building Power” have been strengthened. Where NKTFlexibles is concerned, new strategic targets will be notified in NKT's annualreport for 2008.
