The Nordic ExchangeNikolaj Plads 6 DK-1007 Copenhagen K 16 October 2007Release No. 21Nilfisk-Advance makes acquisition in South Africa Nilfisk-Advance will acquire ownership of its South African distributor WAPSouth Africa (Pty) Ltd. (WAP) as at 1 January 2008. This development is part ofNilfisk-Advance's plans to expand its activities in both existing and newmarkets. WAP has established an extensive sales and service organisation in South Africaemploying 190 people. The acquisition will increase the revenue ofNilfisk-Advance by around 50 mDKK. Experienced organisation Established 30 years ago, WAP is owned by the company's management and oneexternal investor. The company has serviced the South African market as soledistributor of Nilfisk-Advance products for a number of years. WAP is thus awell-established enterprise with in-depth knowledge of Nilfisk-Advance'sproduct programme and service concepts. With the acquisition of WAP, Nilfisk-Advance's opportunities to increase salesin the South African market will be strengthened considerably. This is partlydue to the prospects of selling a broader product programme, butNilfisk-Advance's possibilities of sales in the neighbouring African countriesto which WAP already exports will also be increased. The agreement for the acquisition of WAP was entered into as the result of adesire by the founder and majority shareholder for generational change in themanagement within a few years. Financial aspects By agreement with the seller, the purchase price will not be disclosed. Expectations regarding future earnings resulting from the acquisition of WAPwill be included in Nilfisk-Advance's / NKT's forecasts for 2008, which will bepublished in NKT's annual report for 2007. WAP will be integrated in Nilfisk-Advance's consolidated financial statement asfrom 2008. Part of Nilfisk-Advance's expansion strategy The acquisition of WAP on 1 January 2008 will add a further company toNilfisk-Advance's 35 existing sales subsidiaries, the majority of which aredomiciled in Europe, North America and Asia. Over the past year, as part of itsexpansion strategy, Nilfisk-Advance has not only acquired the Chineseproduction and sales organisation Viper, but also strengthened its position inDenmark and the UK through acquisitions of small sales and service businesses.
